5 Things From the Week

This week has been a long one between never ending days at work and doing things after work it was inevitable that I was ecstatic when Friday finally came. During this week I have also worked really hard to improve my blog. I found a fueled incentive after receiving the Liebster Award this week. But I have to say that it was even nicer to see the reaction of the bloggers that I nominated for the award next. For the full story check out my post on the award itself. In what is now true itslalaflutterby fashion I have of course collected a few interesting bits over the week to share with you guys so let’s get down to it!

1) Elite Daily on Growing Up

AmTrak Train Station, Santa Barbara California

I honestly feel like this article has nailed what is like to be a graduate that returns home for a few months. I most certainly am not the same girl that left three years ago!

2) New Shoes

One of my after work jaunts this week was to Pennys in Limerick City. I love going to Pennys late in the evening because it is always quieter and you have ample room in a relaxed environment to shop for bargains. I saw a girl trying these on and had to ask her where she found them because they looked so great on her! I had to size down because the size 6 was too big on me but otherwise I am in love. They are super comfy and look like something you would get in Zara. But the real prize is that they only cost €18.

3) If You Could See Me Now by The Script

I saw them perform this song in Croke Park last month when they dedicated it to the Berkeley Victims. This week I could not get this song out of my head, it is an absolute classic for me! The shots of the stadium are from their gig in The Aviva where I was in The Pit. What can I say I have followed them since they were small time with their first album!

I also have to share this awesome aerial picture of Croke Park that they posted to their Facebook Page this week. It really was a great gig!

4) The Great British Bake Off is Returning

No-one eliminated in Bake Off first...Undated handout photo issued by the BBC of judges Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry who could not agree who to send home from the Great British Bake Off giving all contestants a reprieve for the first time since the show began. PRESS ASSOCIATION Photo. Issue date: Thursday September 11, 2014. See PA story SHOWBIZ BakeOff. Photo credit should read: Mark Bourdillon/PA Wire NOTE TO EDITORS: This handout photo may only be used in for editorial reporting purposes for the contemporaneous illustration of events, things or the people in the image or facts mentioned in the caption. Reuse of the picture may require further permission from the copyright holder.

It is ridiculous how much this excites me but when Bake Off is on everything else in the world halts! I could not find a link to the fabulous trailer they have this year (Mary Berry posing as Maria from the Sound of Music!) so this article from The Telegraph will have to do! Those lucky ducks in the UK will be able to watch the trailer though. Seriously BBC get over it and let us watch your online content!

5) This Quiesadilla is the perfect summer snack

Hope you all had a great week and that you enjoyed this post,

Xo Laura
